NEWS: Explosion occurs at NNPC filling station in Yola

– There was an explosion at a filling station belonging to NNPC, Yola

 – There was no life lost in the explosion

There was pandemonium in Wuro-jobe area of Yola, Adamawa state when an explosion rocked a filling station belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).   According to The Punch, the incident occurred around 8pm on Thursday, March 31.

 Two cars were completely razed, while many motorist queuing for fuel scampered for their lives. However no life was lost in the explosion.

 According to a military officer who spoke from the scene, the fire defied the intervention of fire fighters stationed at Faro bottling company located at Wuro-jobe the scene of the incident.

 The cause of the fire still remains unknown at the time of filling this report.

 Meanwhile, three people lost their lives in a pipeline explosion that occurred on March 28 within Olugboboro area in Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa state.

The victims who are workers with an oil servicing firm were clamping a leaking pipeline when the unfortunate incident happened.
