Some members of the Super Eagles have disclosed that Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi suffered serious stomach upset on Tuesday March 22 after he consumed hot pepper-soup.

Iwobi who suffered serious stomach upset ahead of Super Eagles’ departure to Kaduna for the all-important 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt, has confirmed his readiness for the clash against the Pharaohs of Egypt on Friday March 25.
Alex Iwobi took no part in the Super Eagles’ training on Tuesday March 22 in Abuja, which caused huge panic with rumours over England’s bid to secure the youngster.
Vanguard reports that some players however disclosed that Iwobi was the architect of his own problems by choosing to consume pepper-soup in camp knowing he has a ‘soft stomach’.
After he has fully recovered, Iwobi revealed on a Social Media account that it was a tough one for him, but he fully fit now and ready for the match.
“Had the maddest food poisoning but I am good now and feeling ready for the Egyptian match,” he tweeted.
The player also disclosed he was able to train with the team on Wednesday March 23.
The first leg encounter will hold in Kaduna on Friday March 25, while the return leg is scheduled for Alexandria on March 29.
