NEWS: Presidency Speaks About Meeting With Chibok Parents

Presidency has reacted to the reports that Muhammadu Buhari walked out of the meeting he had with parents of the missing Chibok girls yesterday, January 14.

Buhari’s spokesman Shehu Garba took to his official Twitter account to clarify the situation.

Bring Back Our Girls campaign leader Oby Ezekwesili led aupporters of the group and parents of the kidnapped schoolgirls on a protest to the presidential villa in Abuja.

President Buhari has met with protesters and ordered a new investigation into the kidnapping of 219 girls by the deadly Boko Haram sect in April 2014 from the town of Chibok, Borno state.


However, the journalists were asked to leave the venue of the meeting when Buhari entered the hall. The reports also emerged that the president was visibly angry and walked the activists out.
