The ex-chairman, House of Representatives Committee on the diaspora, said those who had been cross-carpeting were nothing but “political prostitutes.”

The former lawmaker made the statement in a series of tweets via her Twitter handle, @abikedabiri. She said: “The rate of defection from PDP to APC is shameful. Political prostitutes, politics of convenience, not conviction.”

According to the ex-legislator who represented Ikorodu federal constituency in Lagos state, the APC should not allow the defections.

Dabiri stressed that: “Defection should not be so easy. But hopefully, we will gravitate towards ideology”.

“I will keep airing my minority views on this, ” she added.

In the same vein, the leadership of the APC has ruled out the admission of billionaire businessman, Prince Arthur Eze and the immediate past governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi from joining the party. The decision was made following confusion over the genuine candidates to contest the rerun election for Anambra Central Senatorial district, following the nullification of the election of Senator Uche Lillian Ekwunife on December 6, 2015.
