Tanzanian music star, Diamond Platnumz has shut down rumours of a paternity test involving his new baby, Tiffah.
The ‘Number one’ hitmaker was reacting to claims made by a man named King Lawrence, who is a relative of his baby mama, Zari Hassan’s ex husband.
King Lawrence had sought the support of a court to force Zari to take her daughter, Tiffah, for DNA tests in 3 different hospitals to establish the identity of the baby’s biological father.
But in a new interview on Tanzania’s Cloud FM, Diamond disclosed that contrary to rumors circulating on social media, no one has approached him to conduct DNA tests on his newborn daughter.
‘I have not received any formal order from the courts asking me to conduct paternity tests on my daughter. We should all know people use the media for different purposes.
Some use the platform to get publicity, just like the one we have seen of late. It is not a bad thing (to seek publicity), but you know it should be done in such a truthful manner; not like the one we are seeing and reading – about a guy being so creative that he convinces people to believe his false claims.’
When questioned on whether his baby mama was married before they met, he said: ‘Zari has never wedded before; those are just rumours doing rounds. I had asked her about the same claims, and she revealed she has never been married to anybody.’
Zari Hassan is know to have three sons with her former man before she started dating Diamond.
