Two clubs agree terms on a season-long loan
Liverpool have reached an agreement with AC Milan which will see Mario Balotelli join the Serie A side on a season-long loan. The Italian left the San Siro last summer after The Reds agreed to pay £16million to sign him, but just one year and two goals later, the controversial striker is set to re-join his former club on loan.
Done Deal
The two clubs have been in negotiations over the past few days and it was confirmed by a Milan chief that talks were ongoing, but it has now been revealed that a deal is in place and the striker will now undergo a medical in Italy ahead of the proposed switch. The deal is a loan-move, but it’s with a view to making it permanent this time next year.
It’s not yet understood who will be paying Balotelli‘s wages during the loan-spell, but Milan were hopeful that both clubs would pay 50% each.
Balotelli leaving means Liverpool just have Fabio Borini, Lucas Leiva and Jose Enrique left at the club who are on the transfer list.
